Technical detail

EO 14110 (Oct. 30, 2023) — required safety test reporting under DPA from developers training models above defined compute thresholds; directed NIST to develop AI safety standards (NIST AI 600-1, AISI), agency AI policies (OMB M-24-10), and immigration/research initiatives. Revoked Jan. 20, 2025 by EO 14179 (Trump). Several derivatives (NIST AI RMF, agency policies) survive independently.
